What is First Lutheran Church?

First Lutheran was established in 1863 as the first Lutheran church in the city of Green Bay, and currently consists of about 250 individuals.

First Lutheran assists with tuition at WELS Lutheran Elementary and Preschools. Today, as always, children receive a Christ-centered education.

First Lutheran is a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), a conservative church body of 400,000 individuals working together in 1,200 churches throughout the 50 states and in 12 countries around the world.

First Lutheran is an active supporter of Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, and the Bay Chapter of Lutherans for Life.
